Soft Silk with Moto Edge.

This is a story about patience…

Or my weird ability to get lucky with shopping.

About a year ago Madewell came out with this gorgeous silk blouse in plaid. It was love at first sight. But me, being.. well me, didn’t pull the trigger right away. Me being me didn’t even pull the trigger when the blouse went on sale/ In my defense, I was just starting to down the path that Aritzia has not so gently pried open and $118 for a blouse (even it if was silk) seemed a lot at the time! Oh how things have changed…

So I waited. I waited and I waited and I waited until my beautiful silk blouse disappeared from Madewell forever.

Sad panda.

But I healed. I moved on. And then, a couple of months ago, I was doing my daily stalk on ThredUp (referral link) and what do I find? But my beautiful silk blouse, in MY size, at 70% off. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty sure I squealed. Maybe even shed a tear or two. Checked out faster than lightening and lived happily ever after.

The end.

  1. […] ThredUp (referral link) has become a rather addicting part of my day. Its a great place to sell off your new or used clothing if you’d like to get something back, but don’t really care how much, and either don’t have the time or care to put into selling on your own. This fits me a to a tee. I just shove everything into one of their free prelabeled bags and drop it off at the FedEx store. It takes about a month for them to process everything and the payout isn’t great, but I don’t mind. I average around $50 a bag, which doesn’t seem like much when you consider how much you can actually fit into one of their bags, but it adds up. And sometimes, it adds up to a pair or boots instead. Or a bag. Or a silk blouse. […]
